Allan Dalziel DC MMCA MCC, Member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association, Member of the College of Chiropractors.
After experimenting with various forms of Complementary Medicine Allan Dalziel discovered that, the gentle nature of McTimoney Chiropractic was the only treatment that was successful in alleviating his own ailment. He was so impressed that he decided to change his life and become a McTimoney Chiropractor.
Allan graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 1999. After qualifying, whilst establishing his successful Chiropractic Clinic in Glasgow, he devoted two years to teaching students at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxford, followed by a further four years coaching students from his clinic in Glasgow.
Over the past few years, Allan has become involved with The College of Chiropractors postgraduate training scheme in Scotland, (known as ‘PRT’). This provides the framework for a period of postgraduate training and professional development. PRT enables newly qualified chiropractors to work in professional clinical settings in regular contact with more experienced colleagues who act as trainers/mentors. Carrying out duties as both a trainer for individual Chiropractors and as Tutor for Scotland has been both satisfying and rewarding for Allan.
More recently, Allan was elected the Chairman of the College of Chiropractors Scottish Faculty; he is also a Director of The College of Chiropractors in the United Kingdom.
On 28 September 2006, the College of Chiropractors Lay Partnership Group (LPG), a forum that provides a patient and public viewpoint with regard to College business, and develops initiatives to support patient advocacy ‘launched’ a new quality mark for chiropractic practices. In 2007 Allan Dalziel was one of the first Chiropractors in the United Kingdom to receive the PPQM Award. The McTimoney Chiropractic Clinic in Glasgow has been recognised again in 2010 with the Patient Partnership Quality Mark (PPQM).
A second quality mark - the Clinical Management Quality Mark (CMQM) – was launched in 2008/9 to complement the PPQM. The CMQM recognises excellence in terms of operating within a structured and managed clinical environment. The McTimoney Chiropractic Clinic in Glasgow has been recognised in 2010 with the Clinical Management Quality Mark.
